Re: 17th May 2008
Yes that does seem like a lifetime ago now doesn't it. When you think what has happened between then and now, a sort of to hell and back scenario. The Cardiff supporters we met before and after the game were a pretty miserable bunch. To a certain degree I found the day a bit of an anti climax with t...

Re: 2024/5 Ticket prices
To be quite honest I thought the rises would have been much higher. I am quite pleased because I was thinking it was going to be more like my ticket would cost me something like £150-200 more. Like Mr 55 has already alluded to I wonder what impact the TV deal might have. I think I must have it wrong...

Re: Who needs to beg their fans to turn up and make a noise?
They would never have said that when Saints played at The Dell. That was an intimating place, especially big matches under the lights. When the crowd got going with 'the Saints go marching on', sang in the old way, it became a crackling atmosphere. Almost like Fratton Park actually.

Re: Danny Cowley
Unfortunately, going by his Colchester post matches, he's still over complicating things. They're quite difficult to listen to. After DC left us Cullen paid a great tribute to him and how he did a lot for the community side of the club and engaging the supporters. Can't underestimate that. I really...

Re: Danny Cowley
The only other show I'm aware him being in was Red Dwarf. Yes, he was Lister. Apparently he was also a good impersonator and done several of the voices on Spitting Images. He seems to have withdrawn from front line comedy basically to shun the 'limelight'. He now earns a living as an after dinner s...

Re: Danny Cowley
I think I agree with all of that. Man management and getting the best of your players is a massive part and I’m not sure being couched by Mr Brittas is conducive to that lol. Found this clip. This is perfect. Michael the American 🤣 https://youtu.be/3i9VLrHcBVI?si=S7ISDXVlUhgiYKuN I used to love tha...

Re: Danny Cowley
I always thought he was a decent hard working bloke but over complicated the game of football. I think he made it more technical than it really is. However, this interview shows him to be a real gent. I do believe he can take some credit for our promotion because many of the players involved this la...

Re: Transfer Rumours Championship Season
You are probably right and we won't go down that line, not for a while anyway. I suppose the idea of these academies is to produce players for their first teams. Players that are not quite good enough probably drop down the leagues, the better ones to the Championship. Those players would command a ...

Re: Sean Raggett
IMHO he is still a decent CB at L1 level and I’d be surprised to see him drop down to L2, maybe he would given his history and relationship with the Cowleys. Or Gillingham, his hometown club. I think he will get loads of offers but I think he may well want to stay relatively local to here or back t...
