C'est la vie though isn't it. No manager stays forever. Ultimately it depends what he wants to do if he continues to be successful for us.

Re: Danny Cowley

I see that De Zerbi is leaving Brighton. I wonder who they'll get in next as a quote from their CE is interesting - "He understands what our limitations are. Behind the scenes, our model is very well known to him. We won’t break that model for anyone.” I guess De Zerbi was frustrated with the b...

Re: 19 years ago

I'd be more than happy to see Leeds not go up. Farke seems like a decent guy but seeing disappointed Leeds fans is always funny.

Re: Bolton v Oxford

Bolton weren't up for it which I don't understand. Oxford were very good and totally deserve it. Good for Owen Dale as well.

Re: Goal music

We’ve had music after goals were scored a few times in the 20 odd years I’ve been going, we did back in 2020 when the fans started to come back in after covid and I’m sure we also had players pick a song of there choice which was played out if they scored before that. You're right, we did after COV...

Yes I'm with Oxford as well. Going up might assist them getting their own stadium as well. Going well so far. Yellows, yellows, yellows...

Goal music

Am watching Stains v West Brom and it's 1-0. Music was played after they scored

So just a request to the Eisners to never, ever introduce goal music at FP. I don't think they ever would as they obviously appreciate the atmosphere and tradition. But am just making sure.

Re: TV Gantry Work Begins After Today

This idea is 10 years old. But how possible is it? https://i.imgur.com/ifzgY0C.jpeg It is indeed very possible now that the North stand has been re-profiled, another tier can be added behind it. However, the club would need to do the same with the Fratton End. That is the only stand that has not, b...

Re: Danny Cowley

I think Eisners interview was quite telling too, regarding the manager / head coach needing to buy into the structure that we now have in place, with Hughes etc, and that Jacket didnt at all, and cowley only to an extent. Exactly. The Eisner's tried other ways to get promoted and backed the manager...

Re: Danny Cowley

Unfortunately, going by his Colchester post matches, he's still over complicating things. They're quite difficult to listen to. After DC left us Cullen paid a great tribute to him and how he did a lot for the community side of the club and engaging the supporters. Can't underestimate that. I really ...

Re: Looking ahead to the Championship

Looking at the clubs who'll be in the Championship next season and on the face of it, there are mostly no 'small' clubs except if Luton go down - and hopefully they won't. There are decent sized stadiums. So it'll be interesting to see what the overall difference is between L1 and the Championship. ...

Re: Interview with the Eisners...

Having the set up we have at Portsmouth seems to be the right approach where no-one has overall control, like in the Ferguson era at United or even Redknapp at Pompey. I wasn't aware that it was like that under Redknapp. But it makes sense to me that you have someone with overall responsibility for...

Re: Interview with the Eisners...

A lot of interesting things in there. I particularly like this: “We realised that letting the coaches have full autonomy wasn’t as good a system as having the coach focus on what happens the pitch and a sporting director responsible for player development and a lot of other things,” says Eisner. “On...

Re: Not the top 20 League one

The Portsmouth catchment area should surely in theory put us either in mid Premiership or a regular place in the Championship play offs. But in reality there are many examples of population size not being correlated to a particular league. How on earth are Bradford in League2 or say, Burnley (not f...
